WMSTSC is an activity club administered by West Mercia Scout County, in accordance with current rules and regulations of the Scout Association as stated in P.O.R. The purpose of the Club is to provide the Club members with instruction and practice in the use of Airguns, Bows and Crossbows for recreational use and to promote the sport of target shooting amongst young people, especially in the County of West Mercia.

WSTSC also administers the Master-at-Arms badge, Skills Section for the D of E Awards and Chief Scouts Awards, as well as managing the County shooting competition and Shooting squad.
